2010 New Caledonia

In May 2010, New Caledonia brought the best competitors to Noumea. Canadian's trained to compete, came to win, and win they did! Congratulations!

Forty Six athletes attended the 14th World Sprints to bring home 7 medals, and the south pacific countries took notice. During the final races, an unofficial presentation took place with the Tahitian representatives presenting Lynda Roberts (2012 Race Director), a gift of their commitment to bring their best to compete in 2012 World sprints being held in Calgary, Alberta.

Bronze - Open Women V1 - Leanne Stanley
Bronze - Senior Master Women V1 - Sheila Kuyper

Gold - V6 - 500m Open Women - Cheryl Skribe, Leanne Zrum, Leanne Stanley, Chelsey Tidemarshe, Helen Currey and Kamini Jain.
Gold - V6 - 1500m Open Women - Cheryl Skribe, Leanne Zrum, Leanne Stanley, Chelsey Tidemarshe, Helen Currey and Kamini Jain.
Gold - V6 -1000m Master Women - Cheryl Skribe, Leanne Zrum, Sue Porter, Helen Currey, Sheila Kuyper and Kamini Jain

Bronze - V6 - 500m Senior Master Men - Ken Crosby, Gord Wallace, Gord Penn, Al Birtles, Jan Urban and Paul Pilon.
