2010 Membership and Insurance

This is to advise that the 2010 Club & Individual Membership Forms are now available. Clubs'/individuals' current liability insurance expires December 31st, 2009. To ensure uninterrupted coverage you must get your completed forms and cheques in to CORA prior to December 21st to allow us time to process and forward to Allsport Insurance.
The form has been amended to meet the information needs agreed to with Allsport and is the key to maintaining coverage at a reasonable cost. The form must be fully completed. Estimates to be provided where need be if actuals not yet available.
Key additions:
Need the legal/registered name of each club. If club small and no legal name established, would need the name of the key contact i.e. Aloha Canoe Club of Somewhere, managed by Person's Name
Need an estimate of the operating budget. Allsport needs this info to determine their financial exposure related to Errors & Omissions coverage (Director's Insurance)
Need anticipated membership #s. If multi disciplined need to know how many in other disciplines and what these disciplines are. This includes all paddlers, not just racers. If Club multi-disciplined we need to be assured that if some paddlers are not covered by CORA insurance that they be protected by another policy. Need details on that policy: ins. co. name, policy #. As clearly spelled out at CORA tech meeting, anybody who paddles outrigger (race or rec) needs to be a CORA member. The CORA coverage does not extend to other disciplines.
