ORPC is pleased to announce our Annual Bridges Regatta on the beautiful Victoria Gorge Waterway. This 6 kilometer event will take place on October 17th at the ORPC docks at 1824 Store Street in Victoria.
Registration is full ! Also included in advance is the race information sheet. Please read this carefully, as sterns must be aware of the passing rules and must be aware of their role in racing. Information on your sterns MUST be provided in the registration form. Failure to provide it may result in your registration being rejected.
This is a CORA sponsored event. All paddlers must be CORA members or pay day the day fee. CORA membership forms can be found at www.canadianoutrigger.com under the Resources page. Please make it easy on our registration desk by having any forms filled out in advance of registration.
On Sunday October 18th, we will be holding our small boat event, Inny and Outty Race. The Inny course will have two components: a short 2-3 km event for novice and junior paddles, and a 6 km event for those wishing more of a challenge. We are also hoping to have a 2-3 km SUP event. The race will take place in the protected waters of the Gorge. The Outty is an open water event (course TBD) around 10 km. Open water/rough water experiences is required. Pre-registration will take place on Saturday afternoon and on Sunday morning.
