Lotus Iron/Small Boat Races

Lotus Iron OC6 Race
The Lotus Iron OC6 Race takes OC6 teams north and around several small islands in scenic Indian Arm Marine Park. Race 4 of the 2009 CORA OC6 series, this very popular race will take place on Saturday, June 27.
OC6 Race Courses:
Open and Mixed Division - Start is in front of the Lotus clubhouse in line with the last dolphin. The Open and Mixed Division races head north into Indian Arm with a turn around Raccoon Island, then south toward Cates Park, west into Burrard Inlet to a turn around McBarge and then east to the finish line in front of the Lotus clubhouse (please see the map on page 8 of this race package).
Novice Division - Boats in the Novice Division will head north up Indian Arm, do a counter-clockwise (ama side) turn around Boulder Island, a counter-clockwise turn around McBarge (located on the south shore of Burrard Inlet), and then proceed east to the finish line located in front of the Lotus clubhouse (please see the map on page 9 of this race package). The race length is approximately 11 km.
Junior Division - Race routes to be announced on race day based on the number and experience of teams.
Schedule:
Novice & Junior OC6 10:00 a.m.
Women's Open OC6 noon
Men's Open and Mixed OC6 2:00 p.m.
Lotus Small Boats Race
The Lotus Small Boats Race will take advantage of the variety of water and current conditions in Indian Arm and the Burrard Inlet. Race 4 of the 2009 CORA Small Boats series, the Lotus Small Boats Race will take place on Sunday, June 28.
Schedule:
Novice/Junior 8:00 am start
Women 10:00 am start
Men / Mixed 12:00 pm start
