5th Annual Crazy Eight and Shack Attack

When: February 21 & 22nd
Where: Brechin Boat Ramp (SAT) Departure Bay Beach (SUN)
Saturday, February 21 OC-6 Crazy 8 Challenge
Categories: Novice (9am), Womens (10:30am), Mens (12:30pm), Mixed (2:30pm). Age classes will apply if at least 3 teams per category.
Course Novice heat will turn around a buoy in Mark Bay and return down Newcastle Channel (~5km). All other heats will be a Figure 8 course around Newcastle and Protection Islands (~13km).
Entry Fee $15/paddler (entry into up to 2 races + beer & burger ticket) Awards Will be handed out following the final heat at Millers Pub. Beer & burger tickets will be accepted at the Pub after 2pm.
Sunday, February 22 Small Boat Shack-Attack
Categories Will be determined based on entries. There will be a single mass start at 12pm of all competitors. All small boats of up to four paddlers are invited Course Out-and-back course from Departure Bay (near Kin Hut) to Shack Island (~11km)
Entry Fee $10/paddler Awards Will be handed out after the race in the Kin Hut.
