Crazy 8 Challenge & Small Boat Shack-Attack 2008

February 16 & 17th, 2008 in Nanaimo Brechin Boat Ramp/Sealand Market (SAT) Departure Bay Beach (SUN)
Saturday, February 16 - OC-6 Crazy 8 Challenge
- Figure 8 course around Newcastle and Protection Islands (~13 km). Novice course will turn around a buoy in Mark Bay and return down Newcastle Channel (~5km).
-Junior Novice (9am), Womens (10:30am), Mens (12:30pm), and Mixed (2:30pm) events. Steering meeting ½ hour before each race. Start times subject to change.
- Age classes will be determined based on a minimum of 3 teams per category. Please indicate preferred age class on entry form.
- $15/paddler (includes entry into 1 same sex and 1 mixed race), (and includes a hamburger and a beer); Novice entry $10 (1 race only.
Sunday, February 17 - Small Boat Shack-Attack
- Out-and-back course from Departure Bay to Shack Island (~11 km). Course may change based on weather & water conditions (All categories - 12pm start)
- OC-1, OC-2, Surf-ski, kayaks, anything else!
- $10/paddler
