March Madness

On behalf of the Lotus crews, we'd like to thank
all the volunteers who put together yesterday's
March Madness race.
Additional thanks for having the boats ready to
use, and for adding the olympic touch. It was fun
to identify ourselves as countries. The flags were
a great.
There was a lot of positive energy amongst
everyone. After watching our olympic athlets at
the winter games, it was wonderful to participate
in our own sport, and recognize the Canadian
spirit of friendly sportsmanship amongst the
competing teams.
Our sport is very much alive - these friendly
races help to encourage all the different levels
of paddlers within our community to join in the
fun together.
Thanks again False Creek. And hat's off to
managing to secure the wonderful weather for us.
