Registration will close by September 9th to prepare lane draws. Please send registration information to Register Us! . Feel free to race in multiple Age categories. Include your name, age categories and team name)

When: September 11th
10am Registration Check in
11am Racing Starts

Course
OC6 - 1000M sprint with three turns around two markers 250M apart
OC1 - 500M sprint with no turns

Equipment: Boats will be provided
Please bring PFD and paddle

Cost: Cost includes BBQ ! OC6 $20 per paddler as many categories as you want to race! Open, Master, Sr Master and Mixed. OC1 $10 as many categories as you can!

Food: BBQ lunch included in your race fee.

Sunday: Enjoy a day of sprint outrigger training with fellow racing enthusiasts and Canadian Sprint Team Coach and World Champion paddler, Kamini Jain. This free clinic will whet your appetite and give you the base skills for starting, or continuing, your preparation toward our upcoming local World Outrigger Sprints in August 2012 in Calgary. Meet potential future teammates, training partners and friends.

Clinic Time: 10:00am until 3:00pm

Please email Register Me ! if you plan to attend Sunday's clinic.

Location: Deas Island Regional Park in Delta, located on the South Arm of the Fraser River, accessible from River Road in Delta. We share storage facilities in the Boathouse with the Delta Deas Rowing club.

The Boathouse is the first building on the south side of the road upon entering the Park. Plenty of parking is available near the Boathouse. Washrooms are located in the Riverside picnic area just up the road

Two big waves can swamp a canoe! If you are paddling in big or unpredictable waters, make sure you are using a spaydeck, and make sure it is in good shape.
