The CORA Board is pleased to announce that on November 17th we will be holding our Technical and Annual General Meeting at the Jericho Sailing Centre (1300 Discovery St., Vancouver).

The technical meeting will review all proposals for sanctioned events and review activities and planning business for the coming 2013 season.

The AGM will build on the review, table the new budget, and nominate/vote new members to the Board.

CORA is actively seeking new board members for the cycle 2013-2015. Most members sit on the board for 2 years, with half the board completing their cycle in each given year, ensuring continuity between boards. If you are passionate about outrigger and would like to contribute to the larger outrigger community, please consider sitting on the Board of Directors.

The race event sanctioning form, nomination form and proxy can be found on the Resources page. There are no society or constitutional changes this year. The proxy form allows a member to assign their vote to another who is attending the AGM. Deadlines for all forms is Friday November 16th at 4:30 PST.

Hi Pat
It is scheduled to start at 9:15 (Tech meeting) and 1:00 (AGM) but on Wed the board has a meeting and will likely confirm the schedule at that point. I’ll get the agenda up on the board once it is confirmed.

Cheers
Cindy

Yes they can. All our meetings are done via teleconferencing.
However, you do need someone to nominate you to the board (see nomination form on the Resources site and if you won’t be there, tell us a little bit about yourself, what club, experience in outrigger, etc.

Cheers
Cindy
